3 Big moves the Las Vegas Raiders can still make

Add literally anyone at offensive tackle

Unfortunately, right tackle projects as a need once again in 2022. After selecting Alex Leatherwood in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Raiders hoped they had fixed the issue. Instead, they exacerbated it as Leatherwood was one of the worst offensive linemen in the NFL. He didn’t get any better after a move inside to guard either.

With guard Denzelle Good back in the fold, the focus shifts to right tackle. Currently, Las Vegas is going to have a competition between Leatherwood and veteran Brandon Parker. Unfortunately, neither player is starting-caliber and they both have the potential to derail the success of the entire offense due to their ineffectiveness.

Your offensive line is only as good as your worst player so the Raiders will need to add some talent to keep Carr clean. Fortunately, there is still some veteran talent in free agency. Former number one overall pick Eric Fisher could be an option. After fifteen starts last year in Indianapolis, he is still a reliable option.

While the Raiders do not have a first or second-round pick in this year’s draft, the class is still loaded with offensive tackle talent. So much so, that the Raiders may be able to find an improvement upon the Leatherwood/Parker combo with their third-round selection.
