The Las Vegas Raiders drafted Josh Jacobs in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and we take a look at what he has done so far.
With the No. 24 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, then then-Oakland Raiders selected Alabama running back Josh Jacobs. During that 2019 draft, the Silver and Black held three first-round picks, and Jacobs was the sandwich pick, taken after No. 4 selection, Clelin Ferrell, and before No. 27 overall pick, Johnathan Abram.
When it comes to that trio, one that was supposed to change the fortunes of the organization, it is clear to see that Jacobs was the crown jewel, at least in the first round. Ferrell has done absolutely nothing, and Abram is a borderline starter at this point and entering a crucial season in his career in Las Vegas.
For Jacobs, it has been a very interesting three seasons with the Raiders, as he has had his fair share of highs, as well as lows. Still, he has brought stability to the running back room, has been very productive when he is right, and goes into the 2022 campaign as a key figure on this Raiders offense.
Here, we look at what Jacobs has accomplished so far, what the future holds, and whether or not he has been better than expected.
