2022 NFL draft: 3 draft targets if the Raiders trade up

After trading the team’s first and second-round picks in the 2022 NFL draft for Davante Adams, the thought of trading back into one of those rounds continues to intrigue, Dave Ziegler. Who might the Raiders target if this happens?

As the 2022 NFL draft inches closer, Las Vegas’ general manager Dave Ziegler continues to express the possibility of trading back into the first or second round.

Currently, the Raiders make their first selection of the draft at 86, following the Davante Adams trade.

While Ziegler retains an open-mindedness on getting back into one of the first two rounds, this type of move is majorly dependent on how the board shapes up as the draft goes on. What we know is Ziegler has no plans on targeting an individual position, but rather the best player(s) available who also happen to bring something the Raiders could use.

The thought of getting back into one of the early rounds has intrigued Ziegler since pulling the trigger on the Adams deal, sending the Raiders’ first and second-round picks to Green Bay to acquire the All-Pro wideout. At the NFL owner’s meetings back in late March, the first-year general manager for the Raiders doubled down on his interest, once again stating trade-up intrigues him.
