ARLINGTON, TX – APRIL 26: A video board displays the text ‘THE PICK IS IN’ for the Oakland Raiders during the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft at AT /

The Las Vegas Raiders are heading into the 2022 NFL Draft without a first or second-round pick, and here are some mistakes they must avoid.

The Las Vegas Raiders enter the 2022 NFL Draft after a crazy offseason, one that saw them add elite talent on both sides of the ball. They were able to add Davante Adams to the offense, giving Derek Carr not only an elite weapon at the wide receiver spot but also reuniting him with his best friend.

On defense, the team upgraded in a big way by signing former All-Pro Chandler Jones, who will replace Yannick Ngakoue opposite Maxx Crosby coming off the edge in 2022. By trading Ngakoue to the Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas got back Rock Ya-Sin in return, bolstering the cornerback spot, which has been an issue for years.

Also, the Raiders were able to lock down Crosby and Carr to long-term extensions, as new general manager David Ziegler has been precise with his moves. This is a Raiders team that is better on both sides of the ball than it was last year, a year that saw them make the playoffs for only the second time since the 2002 season.

With the NFL Draft days away, all attention turns there, and here are three mistakes the Raiders must avoid in the 2022 NFL Draft.
