The Las Vegas Raiders are certainly in the market for a cornerback in the 2022 NFL Draft, but is Coby Bryant the answer?

The NFL Draft is just one week away, a time when a team can get better or make huge mistakes, and the Las Vegas Raiders are hoping to get better and avoid mistakes. They are only going to have five total draft picks; therefore, they are going to have to draft wisely to return to the playoffs.

The Raiders will not get their first pick until the third round, and one of the Raiders’ biggest needs is a number one cornerback. A cornerback expected to be on the board still at number 86 is Coby Bryant out of Cincinnati.

Bryant was key to the Bearcats being one of the best teams in the country last season, helping them to the College Football Playoff, and taking home the Jim Thorpe Award. While Sauce Gardner got most of the love nationally, Bryant quietly became one of the best defensive backs in the country, and someone who will start in Year 1 at the next level.

If he is still there, it’s a no-brainer to pick him, right? Well, let’s examine the pros and cons of drafting him.
