Raiders 2022 NFL Mock Draft: Reloading the offensive line and more

player. 901. . Offensive Lineman. Aztecs . Zachary Thomas. 164

San Diego State’s Zachary Thomas is another versatile offensive lineman that could give the Raiders more depth alongside Parham. The Carlsbad, CA native measures at six-foot-five, 300-plus pounds and ran a 4.96 in his combine 40-yard dash. He also totaled 21 reps on the bench press and a 107-inch broad jump during the combine.

He’ll certainly need to put on some mass on his upper body as he can often lose balance.

That red flag aside, Thomas possesses solid pass-blocking skills and has also played at every position on the offensive line. He’s athletically sound, having notable lateral movement for his size along with sufficient knee bend to hold his own against incoming rushers on the edge.

As far as playing inside, Thomas has ample anchor ability as he’s comfortable either blocking larger defensive tackles or shutting down speedy rushers.

Thomas will contribute to the Raiders’ run game thanks to his nimble feet and quickness. He can open up running lanes once he latches onto a defender and drives them with his remarkable leg drive. Again, he needs to bulk up before seeing major playing time as he’d be at the risk of getting exposed by elite pass rushers.
