The Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 86 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but will it be an offensive or defensive player taken with the selection.

The 2022 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday. While the Raiders have to wait until Friday to see who will don the famed silver and black, it is a very exciting time for Raider Nation because their quest for a Super Bowl could begin here.

With only five picks, the Raiders have some holes to fill on both sides of the ball. So what should they do with their first pick in the third round? Should they use it on an offensive player or a defensive player?

Well, it depends on which way you look at it. Do you want to go down the offensive player road to help move the ball? In this day in age where offense has completely taken over the game, it’s understandable why you want to move the ball effectively. Moving the ball on offense can put opposing defenses in a tough spot because it is hard to stop and gameplan for a good offense.

The Raiders don’t have to go down that road if they don’t want to. They can get a defensive player if they feel like they don’t want to see pass-happy offenses like Kansas City run circles around them. Besides, the Raiders feel like they are a good defense away from competing in the AFC West. Following are the case to draft an offensive player or a defensive player with their first pick at 86 in the draft.
