Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: Complete list of picks heading into Round 1
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders hold only five picks heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, and here is where they will select across the three-day event.
The time has officially come, as the Las Vegas Raiders, along with the rest of the NFL, will kick off the 2022 NFL Draft tonight. It should be an exciting three days of festivities, as teams look to continue to build up their roster in hopes of a Super Bowl run this upcoming season.
For the Raiders, it has been a crazy offseason, as new general manager David Ziegler has come in and changed several things on this roster. The Silver and Black traded for wide receiver Davante Adams, sending their first and second-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft to the Green Bay Packers, while also signing All-Pro edge rusher Chandler Jones in free agency.
Overall, the roster is in a much better place than it was when the team kicked off the 2021 NFL Draft, so they could be a few pieces away from being a legitimate contender this upcoming season.
Here is where the Raiders will pick over the next few days.
Raiders list of 2022 NFL Draft picks
- Round 3: No. 86
- Round 4: No. 126
- Round 5: No. 164 (from NE)
- Round 5: No. 165
- Round 7: No. 227 (from CAR)
As it says above, the Raiders do not hold a pick until the No. 86 selection in Round 3, which means we could be in for a long couple of nights. Overall, they hold only five picks, but based on what they have brought in via trades and free agency this offseason, that should be more than enough to round out this roster.
Ziegler has done a terrific job since taking over the reins of this franchise, and it will be interesting to see if he stays put at No. 86, or tries to make a move up into the first round, or even into the second. He has proven to have a plan this whole time, and across the next three days, we will see what he feels the weaknesses are, and who he brings in to fill those needs.
