Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: Who are the top players at each position?

Tight Ends

  1. Jelani Woods (Virginia)
  2. Cole Turner (Nevada)
  3. Charlie Kolar (Iowa State)
  4. Isaiah Likely (Coastal Carolina)
  5. Trey McBride (Colorado State)
  6. Jalen Wydermyer (Texas A&M)
  7. Greg Dulcich (UCLA)
  8. Cade Otton (Washington)

Depending on who you ask, some would tell you that tight end is the deepest position in this year’s draft. With quality players littered throughout this list, a team likely finds a contributor out of this group.

Even a guy like Dulcich, who places low on this list, has the potential to develop into an everyday starter over time.

However, the crown jewel of this class in my opinion is Jelani Woods of the University of Virginia. At 6’7″, he is a massive man who could basically play basketball on the court. Then when it came time for athletic testing he proved that he was one of the best athletes the position has ever seen. Poised to be a matchup nightmare for years to come, Woods gets my only first-round grade at the position.

When it comes to the Las Vegas Raiders, they are pretty set at the tight end spot, especially after the team shut down the Darren Waller trade rumors. For the Raiders, this is a position group that will be a strength this season, so I do not assume they will be drafting a tight end over the next few days.
