Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: Who are the top players at each position?

Defensive Tackles

  1. Jordan Davis (Georgia)
  2. Devonte Wyatt (Georgia)
  3. Phidarian Mathis (Alabama)
  4. Travis Jones (UConn)
  5. Logan Hall (Houston)
  6. Thomas Booker (Stanford)
  7. Perrion Winfrey (Oklahoma)
  8. DeMarvin Leal (Texas A&M)
  9. Zachary Carter (Florida)

Edge Rushers

  1. Kayvon Thibodeaux (Oregon)
  2. George Karlaftis (Purdue)
  3. Aidan Hutchinson (Michigan)
  4. Travon Walker (Georgia)
  5. Jermaine Johnson (Florida State)
  6. David Ojabo (Michigan)
  7. Myjai Sanders (Cinncinati)
  8. Arnold Ebikete (Penn State)
  9. Cameron Thomas (San Diego State)

Forget about positional value for a minute and really think about Jordan Davis as a player. 6’6″ and 340 pounds, he moves like a man half his size. His athletic testing at the NFL Combine further proved this when he tested as one of the best defensive tackle prospects ever.

Regardless of where he gets selected in the draft, Davis is going to make some teams very happy for a long time. His college teammate Devonte Wyatt is on a similar path as well.

At edge rusher, I just don’t see it with Aidan Hutchinson. With an arm length that is in the seventh percentile for his position, he is going to have trouble initially in the NFL. Furthermore, he is not the surgeon with his hands that many make him out to be. While he may look like a long-lost Bosa brother, he is nowhere near as refined as those two were as prospects.

On the other hand, Thibodeaux from Oregon has the potential to be a future Pro Bowl selection and should be in contention for the number one overall pick.
