Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: 3 best-case scenario picks on Day 2

Daniel Faalele, OT, Minnesota

The biggest issue when it comes to this Raiders roster heading into the 2022 NFL Draft is the offensive line, and they need help at offensive tackle, and on the interior. We saw last year that Alex Leatherwood was not ready to take over full-time as a starting offensive tackle at the NFL level, but he has looked like a new player in his workouts this offseason.

This will really depend on what Josh McDaniels and his staff think of Leatherwood, and whether they are going to give him another chance to be the team’s starting right tackle. Las Vegas has an elite left tackle in Kolton Miller, who could make his first Pro Bowl in 2022, but the right side was a real issue last season.

One player who could come in and start right away as a rookie is Daniel Faalele, who has the size and power to be a very steady right tackle at the next level. Faalele has experience playing on the right side during his time with the University of Minnesota, and on the Raiders, he would have one of his best chances to start right away.
