Las Vegas Raiders 2022 Draft grades: The Best and the Worst
Las Vegas Raiders 2022 Draft grades: The Best and the Worst
Round 7, Pick 238 OT, Thayer Munford Ohio State
It’s not nice to steal! Well, the Raiders just did! This pick is probably a steal in the draft. The Raiders addressed their interior offensive line earlier in the draft. Now with this pick, they can address the tackle position.
Munford started out at left tackle but moved to guard. In the NFL, he is projected to be a right tackle thus giving Kolton Miller that bookend right tackle he’s been missing.
At 6’6 328, don’t expect Munford to get pushed around a lot. If Munford can work on his lateral movement, he could have a great career with the Raiders.
Grade: A
Round 7, Pick 250, RB, Brittain Brown, UCLA
This is not a good pick at all. First of all the Raiders did not need another position player or a running back at that. They needed a defensive back instead of a running back.
Now if Brown had home run speed with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, which he does not, he would have probably got a better grade.
Grade: D
There still remains the question of what the Raiders are going to do in the secondary and linebackers. They did not draft either. IF they did, then they probably would have got a higher grade. As it is, they got a passing grade for the 2022 draft.
Final Grade: C
