Raiders 2022 NFL Draft Grades: AFC West Winners and Losers

Denver Broncos

With all due respect, the Denver Broncos roster was more or less locked in before the draft. Coming off last season’s last-place finish in the AFC West, the most glaring need was a franchise quarterback, which the organization effectively addressed by trading for Russell Wilson. It’s not so much as Denver’s draft haul was underwhelming, more so that none of their picks jump off the page (at least at first glance).

The Broncos didn’t make their selection until late in the second round, opting for Nik Bonitto (LB) who will likely be a rotation player on the edge. The rest of their draft haul adds some depth and competition overall, which isn’t necessarily a knock.

The current roster will speak for itself, but perhaps the Broncos could have better leveraged their day two selections to add more depth at right tackle, linebacker, and defensive tackle.
