The Las Vegas Raiders did not pick until the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but that does not mean there weren’t surprises this weekend.

The 2022 NFL Draft has come and gone, and for the Las Vegas Raiders, the weekend started out slow, and then gained momentum on Saturday. Due to their trade with the Green Bay Packers, the Silver and Black did not hold a first or second-round pick and did not get the party started until late Friday night in the third round.

The first pick came at No. 90 overall, as the Raiders selected Dylan Parham, a mauler offensive guard from Memphis. Parham was an outstanding selection, as he played right tackle in college as well as along the interior, and checks off a lot of boxes in terms of need for Las Vegas.

However, as the party got started on Saturday, it was clear that this would not be a normal day, as the Raiders traded up and down and ended up with a haul that had some scratching their heads. General manager David Ziegler is in his first year at the helm and has been solid in trades and free agency, so he gets the benefit of the doubt, but we will see how things shake out.

Here are some surprises from the Raiders draft this weekend.
