Las Vegas Raiders: Looking at the potential starting OL for 2022 Week 1

LG: Dylan Parham

A big reason why the Raiders struggled so much in the run game is because of the team’s interior line. Before the season began, Las Vegas lost Richie Incognito for the entirety of the season. Then in week one, they lost Denzelle good for the season after he tore his ACL. That left a rotating door at both offensive guard positions, with John Simpson, Alex Leatherwood, and Jermaine Eluemenor were just a few to hold those positions.

Parham will likely be the season long starter at left guard. He’s incredibly effective on the interior of the line, allowing just one sack in 1,047 pass-blocking snaps. In a stacked AFC West, Parham should have a major impact on protecting Carr from the better defensive tackles of the division.

The best part about Parham is his athleticism. In high school, Parham was a linebacker and tight end, and he participated in basketball and track and field during the offseason. This isn’t typical for offensive lineman, but it functions as a great example of his overall athleticism and versatility. He’ll be huge for Vegas in the run, as his quick footwork, speed, and football IQ will make him great on plays where he needs to pull or reach the second level.
