Las Vegas Raiders: Looking at the potential starting OL for 2022 Week 1

RT: Alex Leatherwood

This position is arguably the biggest question mark on the entire offensive line. The team could go in any number of directions. They could try Good out at right tackle and shift Leatherwood inside, or they could start Brandon Parker or Jermaine Eluemenor. All of these options make sense, but I think Leatherwood will ultimately get the start in week one.

Everyone knows that Leatherwood struggled in almost every game last season. He definitely improved as the years when on, but his production last season made many question whether or not he was worth a first-round pick. We saw a similar situation playout with Miller, so hopefully that’s what happens here with Leatherwood, who still has time to improve as a pass protector.

The reason why I think he’ll get the start is because I think he has improved since last season and because I think he’ll be given a chance thanks to his status as a first-round pick.

The team likely isn’t ready to make him a bench player, so they’ll give him a nod even if it’s just for the first week. I wouldn’t be surprised though if that’s not the case. Don’t sleep on Eluemenor starting or a surprise start from new tackle Thayer Munford.
