Just like that, the draft we’ve all waited for has come and gone. Now, there’s only one thing left for us to do: Talk about each player drafted, and grade them accordingly. Let’s do just that.
The 2022 NFL draft concluded on Saturday night, during the last day of April. The Las Vegas Raiders made 6 selections, despite entering the draft with 5 picks.
On the surface, some picks made more sense than others. The Silver and Black went offensive line on their first selection, in an attempt to patch their weakest unit entering the draft – This wasn’t a surprise. The Raiders also drafted two defensive tackles despite having seven on the roster entering the draft, now combining for nine; This was a bit more surprising.
When it was all said and done, Las Vegas left the draft with two offensive linemen, two defensive tackles, and two running backs, with the ladder making sense despite having four running backs on the roster before the draft (we’ll talk about it a little later).
Dave Ziegler had his first draft as the general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Raider Nation got to see their general manager in action during a draft for the first time. Now, we look at each selection made in this year’s draft and give each a grade after a brief assessment.
