Las Vegas Raiders 2022 NFL Draft: Way-too-early superlatives

Most Likely to Start a Game in 2022: Tie, Dylan Parham and Thayer Munford

This was obviously a hard decision to make because all six players the Raiders drafted have a chance to crack the starting lineup at some point this season. It came down to Munford and Dylan Parham.

For starters, Munford got chosen because of his versatility. He could bring some of that to the Raiders. When Munford first came to Ohio State he played left tackle. Last season he made the switch to guard.

In a likely scenario, the Raiders could move Alex Leatherwood back to right tackle if he performs well over there. Munford will take one of the guard spots which are currently occupied by John Simpson and Denzelle Good. Good will be coming back from a torn ACL.

The Raiders signed free agents Jermaine Eluemunor who will play the guard position and Jackson Barton who will get a chance to play right tackle.

If neither Leatherwood nor Barton works out at their respective positions. then Munford should get a chance at the right tackle spot while Leatherwood would go back to guard.

Parham, like Munford, is versatile. He could play guard or even center. If Parham gets to start a game it is at center where the Raiders only have Andre James at center. If James goes down with an injury, we could see Parham step into this role.
