Raiders free agent target – Jaquiski Tartt, DB

Key 2021 Stats

  • 1 Pass Deflection
  • 5 Tackles For a Loss
  • 61.8 Overall PFF Grade

The defensive back that continues to be linked to the Raiders is James Bradberry (more on him later), but Jaquiski Tartt is another viable option. The former second-round pick from 2015 has not been re-signed by the San Francisco 49ers.

Most NFL fans will recall that Tartt dropped an interception versus the Los Angeles Rams that would’ve changed the tide of the NFC Championship last season. However, as disappointing as that was, one play shouldn’t define a player. He’s totaled 265 solo tackles, 18 pass deflections, and 21 tackles for a loss in his career.

A strong safety that has only allowed 24 receptions in the last two regular seasons warrants consideration from the Raiders. Tartt could certainly compete for snaps in a secondary that’s relatively young.
