Raiders free agent target – Landon Collins, S

2021 Key Stats

  • 2 Interceptions
  • 82.5 PFF Run Defense Grade
  • 74.4 PFF Pass Rush Grade
  • 7 Tackles For A Loss

The Raiders’ secondary, as it stands, will roll out Trevon Moehrig and Johnathan Abram as their safeties. Landon Collins is listed as a strong safety, but he’d bring versatility, which is important in Graham’s scheme. He’s capable of patrolling the field in a safety-linebacker hybrid role as one of the better tacklers in the NFL.

Collins is a leader and locker room presence that would benefit the Raiders’ young secondary. Another aspect of Collins’ game that would be indispensable is what he brings as a pass rusher. He totaled 38 blitzes over the last two years, with five sacks and a forced fumble.

Graham’s defense in New York consistently brought their safeties to the line on blitz packages. With this defense now being implemented in Las Vegas, Collins could flourish in this potential role.
