Las Vegas Raiders: 53-man roster projection post-2022 NFL Draft
Quarterback (2): Derek Carr, Nick Mullens
We start with the quarterback position, and for the ninth season in a row, the Silver and Black will be piloted by Derek Carr. A second-round pick out of Fresno State back in 2014, Carr has been the starter for the Raiders since Day 1 and has shattered nearly every franchise record when it comes to passing categories.
Carr has to prove he is a consistent winner, especially after leading this team to the playoffs last season despite all the turmoil they went through on and off the field. He has proven to be an excellent leader and mainstay, and now, with his best friend at the WR1 spot, the sky could be the limit for No. 4.
Behind Carr will be a battle between Nick Mullens and Garrett Gilbert, both veteran backups who could step in and win you a game if need be. I believe Mullens will be the winner of the competition when all is said and done, but after losing Marcus Mariota this offseason, the Raiders definitely will be weaker behind Carr.
