PROJECTED STARTERS: Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Bryan Edwards

In what may have been the biggest move of the 2022 off-season that wasn’t quarterback-related, the Raiders were able to acquire Davante Adams. Following the release of Henry Ruggs last season, Las Vegas was able to fill the biggest hole on its roster in a huge way. With several other additions to the receiver room, the Raiders have set themselves up quite well for next season.

Obviously, not much needs to be said about Adams at this point. After back-to-back seasons as a first-team All-Pro and five straight Pro Bowl selections, many would consider Adams to be the best wide receiver in the NFL. So, while the Raiders paid a hefty price to acquire him, it is well worth it to reunite him with his college quarterback, Derek Carr. In their time together at Fresno State, Adams recorded a jaw-dropping 233 catches for 3,031 yards and 38 touchdowns in just two seasons.

Not only does Las Vegas have the NFL’s best receiver, but they also have its best pure slot receiver with Hunter Renfrow. Fresh off a breakout season where he had 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns, he will return as Carr’s go-to guy. Small in stature, Renfrow used his crafty route running ability and creativity after the catch to secure his first Pro Bowl nod last season.

Behind their two studs, the Raiders worked to add depth. Former third-round pick Bryan Edwards returns to see if a new coaching staff can unlock his potential. They also added veterans Keelan Cole, Demarcus Robinson, and Mack Hollins to fill out the rest of the receiver room.

If everyone stays healthy in 2022, there is no reason to believe that Adams and Renfrow won’t be one of the NFL’s best receiver duos. They both have an unbelievable connection with their quarterback and get themselves open with ease. The Raiders’ offense has the potential to be one of the league’s absolute best and its receiver group is a big reason why.
