Raiders 2022 Schedule: Top-5 Must-Win games

Week 5 @ Kansas City Chiefs

If someone is going to knock the Kansas Chiefs off their throne in the AFC West, it might as well be the Raiders to accomplish this. As a result, this is a definite must-win. If The Raiders want to be the one to dethrone the Chiefs, then this would be a great opportunity on their first of primetime games.

The Raiders still might want to refrain from dancing up and down on the Chiefs’ 50-yard line or doing victory laps around Arrowhead Stadium.

This particular game should be another test to see if the Raiders’ defense can hang with the high-powered offense. You know Kansas City is going to throw everything at them including the kitchen sink. So If the Raiders want to pull off an upset on Monday night and beat the Kansas City Chiefs, it is going to have to take a real team effort from the defense.

This game will come down to the Raiders’ secondary, especially the cornerbacks. They are going to have to be counted on heavily in this game. Trayvon Mullen, Nate Hobbs, and Rock Ya-Sin are going to have to be counted on to contain the Chiefs receivers Mecole Hardman, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Skyy Moore.

The safeties Johnathan Abram and Trevon Moehrig will need to stop Mahomes’ favorite target, Travis Kelce, from making big plays. This will be a good test for Abram to try to earn a contract extension with the Raiders. When he was first drafted by the Silver and Black, he was anticipated to be a good tight end cover safety, but we hadn’t seen it thus far.
