The Raiders agree to terms with the Falcons, shipping receiver Bryan Edwards to Atlanta.

On Wednesday, the Las Vegas Raiders announced the signing of veteran wideout Keelan Cole. Two days later, another receiver transaction was announced: The Silver and Black agreed to a deal with the Falcons, sending Bryan Edwards and a 2023 seventh-round pick to Atlanta in exchange for the Falcons’ 2023 fifth-round pick.

Edwards was drafted in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft, after becoming a household name for South Carolina. From there, the 6’3 receiver would catch 45 passes for 764 yards in his two years as a Raider, punching it into the end zone four times.

The high point of Edwards’ career can be found within the early part of the ’21 season, where he was top-two in the NFL via receiving yards in the fourth quarter. During this timeframe, the now-former Raider also notched his career-high receiving yards in a contest, tallying 89 against Miami.

The Raiders dealt with many struggles on the outside during the latter half of last year, but currently, the team looks well off – At least on paper. Let’s dive into that a little deeper.
