Week 17: vs San Francisco 49ers (New Year’s Day)

The Las Vegas Raiders close out the 2022 regular season with two straight home games, and they are going to be big in terms of them making the playoffs. The first game will be a New Year’s Day matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, a former Battle of the Bay matchup.

The 49ers are likely going to go into the season with Jimmy Garoppolo as their starter once more, as it appears they are not ready to turn it over to Trey Lance just yet. However, by this time in the season the 49ers are either going to be a playoff contender, or completely out of it, so which quarterback Las Vegas faces will depend on how their season has gone.

If Lance is the starter, the Raiders should win this game going away, as it is a home matchup for them, and their season will be on the line. A win gets them to 11 for the season, and likely clinches their playoff spot, but Week 18 could bring a chance to take home their first division title since the 2002 campaign.

Record: 11-5, 3-2 in AFC West
