Las Vegas Raiders: Best storylines for each 2022 regular-season game

Week 7 – Houston Texans

The Texans are not a football team that garners a ton of storylines as they are in the midst of a deep rebuild. However, the Raiders can not afford any bad losses, given how demanding their schedule could be. This is a good test of focus which hasn’t always been a strength of this team.

Also, this will be a chance for Davante Adams to put Texans rookie Derek Stingley Jr to the test.

Week 8 – @ New Orleans Saints

This is not your father’s Saints, as Drew Brees and now Sean Payton is no longer in the building. And the high-level offense in this game should be the Raiders.

But old friend Dennis Allen has turned New Orleans into one of the best defenses in the league, so which unit will win out?

Week 9 – @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Another game where the Raiders should be able to take care of business. However, is second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence prepped to take a leap for the Jags in 2022?

Because if that is the case, all the questionable moves we see Jacksonville making could work.

Week 10 – Indianapolis Colts

These teams played a great game last season; will the 2022 version live up to that?

The Colts are hopeful they made an upgrade at quarterback by trading for Matt Ryan so they could also be a team in the Raiders’ way for a playoff spot. And with the backend of the schedule being as challenging as it is, the Raiders may need this win.
