Can Derek Carr start to earn recognition from the NFL?

Carr is in a position to finally start earning more league-wide recognition, which has eluded him up to this point. By recognition, we’re referring to him entering the upper echelon of quarterbacks. Last season, Carr was one of the top signal-callers in terms of passing yards. However, more will be needed from the Raiders’ quarterback, especially in terms of touchdown passes and an improved red-zone presence.

Carr has never been an All-Pro in his career, an accomplishment that’s usually held in higher regard than a Pro Bowl nod these days. Other cornerstone awards such as NFL MVP or Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year have never been bestowed upon Carr.
