Las Vegas Raiders and AFC West well represented in latest PFF rankings
AFC West Top 25 Under 25 PFF Player – Rashawn Slater, Los Angeles Chargers
- Key 2021 Stat: 6 total penalties
Last year’s 13th overall selection for the Chargers greatly impressed out of the game, earning a rookie Pro Bowl nod as further proof. The franchise left tackle for Los Angeles also earned several accolades, including ending up fourth in the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.
Slater, who exceeded expectations as a rookie and will look to build on his surprising success in 2022, is a player the Raiders will no doubt be game-planning for years to come. He played a total of 752 pass-blocking snaps, during which he surrendered just four sacks all season long. Even more impressive is that PFF points out Slater’s pressure rate of 3.7 percent is the lowest allowed by a rookie since 2010 with a minimum of 250 snaps played.
Slater wasn’t the only rookie AFC West lineman that got some love from PFF.
