Las Vegas Raiders and AFC West well represented in latest PFF rankings
AFC West Top 25 Under 25 PFF Player – Maxx Crosby, Las Vegas Raiders
- Key 2021 Stat: 91.8 Pass Rushing Grade
Was it ever in doubt? Maxx Crosby blossomed into one of the league’s premier talents in 2021. Earning his first Pro Bowl nod was just the beginning of it. Crosby earned praise throughout the NFL and received a handful of distinctions for his efforts.
He was named PFF 1st Team, AP Second Team, and 1st Team All-Conference by the Pro Football Writers. Crosby was consistently a force against the pass in 2021, accumulating 42 pressures according to Pro Football Reference, and will likely build on that effectiveness this coming season. Per PFF, Crosby’s 91.7 pass-rush grade was nearly the best in the NFL, coming in second behind Myles Garrett.
2022 will be a crucial year for Crosby as he enters a new defensive scheme under Patrick Graham and with a new partner in crime in Chandler Jones.
The addition of Jones and the possibilities that could be had with Clelin Ferrell coming off the edge as an outside linebacker might lead to an even bigger year for Crosby.
