AFC West Top 25 Under 25 PFF Player – Creed Humphrey, Kansas City Chiefs

  • Key 2021 Stat: 1 sack allowed

Joining Slater is future Kansas City Chiefs stalwart, center Creed Humphrey. Much like Slater, Humphrey also came up just short in the vote for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, coming in at third place. To be fair, it would’ve been hard for either Slater or Humphrey to win the award when wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase simply put on a clinic last year.

Nevertheless, the former Oklahoma Sooner impressed mightily in his rookie campaign. He teamed up with the Chiefs’ superstar quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and played a total of 1,185 regular-season snaps. Humphrey only surrendered one sack all year while getting penalized six times. He plowed and led the Chiefs’ running attack, a rushing offense that accumulated 1,955 yards on the ground during the regular season.

For his efforts, PFF graded him 92.5 in the run-blocking department. Raiders fans are hoping that their team’s interior defensive line will get sorted out soon, as facing Humphrey will become a yearly test.
