Raiders: Question for each offensive position group entering 2022 summer

Running Back: Will Zamir White start as a rookie?

This has been quite an offseason for the running back room, as it will be stocked with veteran talent, as well as some rookies this summer. Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake return from a year ago, but Brandon Bolden joins the mix, and like Stidham, is a player who played for Josh McDaniels in New England.

During the 2022 NFL Draft, the Raiders shocked a bit when they drafted Georgia running back Zamir White, who has the nickname “Zeus.” That is due to the fact he is a mountain of a running back, and someone who many believe will replace Jacobs as the feature back in Las Vegas, especially with the franchise declining Jacobs’s fifth-year option.

The question is, with all of these running backs, can White emerge as someone who could start for the Raiders as a rookie. We have seen this position group get decimated by injuries over the last few seasons, so if White is as good as advertised, he could end up in the starting lineup in Year 1.
