The Silver and Black have answered many questions this off-season, but a big one still looms – Who will be the starting right tackle for the Raiders moving forward?
The Las Vegas Raiders entered the off-season needing some work on the offensive line; Specifically, the right side of the line. In the third round of the 2022 NFL draft, the team selected inside lineman Dylan Parham, presumably taking on the role of right guard, or moving to center with current center Andre James swapping out to right guard.
When it comes to right tackle, though, the options aren’t as flashy, but there are still a decent amount of paths for the Raiders to take.
Two of the options come from this year’s free agency, in the form of players’ new general manager Dave Ziegler elected to re-sign. Other options come from players who were always under contract, and even though last month’s draft.
Head coach Josh McDaniels has his work cut out for him, in deciding who the starting right tackle will be. Before he has to make his decision, he’ll get a chance to see how each candidate handles the role, and what they bring to the team.
That raises the question: Who are the candidates? Let’s discuss the current options Las Vegas has at the right tackle for the upcoming season.
