Raiders: 3 areas that could end up being their downfall in 2022

Secondary

During the 2021 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders added two outstanding defensive backs, one on Day 2, and one on Day 3. In the second round, Las Vegas traded up for Tre’Von Moehrig, a standout safety who was actually better than advertised as a rookie and helped bolster the position group.

At cornerback, Nate Hobbs was brought in as a depth corner, but it was clear from the start that he was a starter. In fact, he ended up being one of the better defensive rookies in the NFL and should be the team’s slot cornerback for the foreseeable future.

Despite that influx of talent, and the Raiders adding cornerback Rock Ya-Sin this offseason, questions still remain about the defensive backfield. Will Johnathan Abram take a step forward in 2022? Will Trayvon Mullen finally become the CB1 this team has been looking for? All of these questions must be answered.
