Raiders: 3 areas that could end up being their downfall in 2022

Coaching

Josh McDaniels will get his second chance at a head coaching position in the NFL this upcoming season, and it is anybody’s guess what the outcome will be. He struggled during his first stint as the head coach of the Denver Broncos, but going into 2022, you have to think he has learned from his mistakes and is ready to take this challenge head on.

However, he is still going into his first year as the team’s head coach, and that could be met with some struggles along the way. We have seen assistant coaches from New England struggle in a big way after making the move from coordinator to head coach, but hopefully, for the Raiders, McDaniels will thrive in his new role, especially with such a talented roster.

The truth is, the 2022 Raiders could go on to win double-digit games once again, and punch their ticket to the playoffs for the second straight year. If they do that, it will be the first time that has happened in 20 years and a clear indication that Josh McDaniels was the right choice for the franchise to move on from Jon Gruden.
