Raiders: Question for each defensive position group entering the 2022 summer
By Brad Weiss
Entering the summer months, the Las Vegas Raiders have many questions to answer, and here is one for each defensive position group.
The Las Vegas Raiders are in a better place in terms of their roster than they were a year ago, but that does not mean that issues do not remain. Las Vegas made it to the playoffs for only the second time since the 2002 NFL season, but with a new general manager at the helm, you knew things were going to change this offseason.
Change they did, as David Ziegler did an outstanding job injecting this roster with talent. Now, we look at the defensive side of the ball, and what questions still remain.

Defensive Tackle: Who starts on the inside?
With Patrick Graham in as the defensive coordinator, the Las Vegas Raiders will be moving to a 3-4 base defense, making whoever starts at nose tackle a key component. This offseason, the franchise once again revamped the talent at defensive tackle, bringing in multiple draft picks as well as some veteran talent.
When all is said and done, someone is going to have to step up and take the starting job, and that is a battle that could rage on all through summer. Johnathan Hankins returns and should be the favorite to start, but in the end, Vernon Butler or Andrew Billings could snag the job as well.
