Raiders’ tackle prospect watch – Walter Rouse, Stanford

Stanford’s Walter Rouse is a player from the Pac-12 that Raiders fans need to keep an eye on this upcoming season. Despite the school’s disappointing 3-9 record in 2021, Rouse remains a prospect that will garner attention as the season goes on.

At six-foot-six and 320 pounds, Rouse has the physical foundation to be an NFL tackle. You simply can’t coach size and Rouse has plenty of it.

He has sufficient mobility for his size and is technically refined with fluid movement. In fact, he has notable quickness. PFF awarded him with solid grades across the board: 72.6 in pass blocking, 72.2 in run blocking, and overall, 71.4. Possessing nice long arms, solid speed, and a mean streak, Rouse will have plenty of eyes on him during the 2022 season.
