AFC West: Will the Las Vegas Raiders be the team to beat?
Don’t sleep on the Broncos or Chargers
Of course, you have to give the benefit of the doubt to Reid given his track record, but again, no one is saying that the Chiefs will suddenly stumble. Nevertheless, the trio of Carr, Adams, and McDaniels is going to be something special.
Fans in the AFC West seem to overlook the work that McDaniels did as offensive coordinator, often crediting Bill Belichick with all of New England’s success. If McDaniels called an offense with rookie Mac Jones and made it to the playoffs, imagine what he’ll do with all of the weapons at his disposal in Vegas.
While Wright has valid points, neither the Broncos nor the Chargers are going to be cakewalks. Denver added one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson after trotting out mediocre signal-callers the last six years.
Meanwhile, the Chargers loaded up their defense with J.C. Jackson and Khalil Mack to add to an already talented group. Offseason hype is nice; it gets fans pumped up about their team, but the Raiders will need to earn every bit of it this upcoming season.
