Raiders free agent target – Eddie Goldman, DT

Eddie Goldman wouldn’t be the flashiest free-agent addition at this point in the offseason. However, Goldman would have a major impact on the Raiders’ interior. At six-foot-three and 325 pounds, Goldman would compete with Johnathan Hankins at nose tackle.

Goldman has been a stalwart for the Chicago Bears, excelling in both stopping the run and getting to the quarterback. He has accumulated 13 sacks since 2015 along with 18 tackles for a loss. The Raiders are going to let their defensive tackles duke it out in camp, and whoever emerges will get playing time. Goldman would still have a lot to offer as a proven run defender.

The former second-round pick out of Florida State opted out of the 2020 season after coming off a career year in 2019. A Pro Bowl alternate before 2020, Goldman saw his numbers take a hit in 2021, but under Graham, he could see a resurgence.
