Raiders free agent target – Daryl Williams, OT

After missing out on Bradberry, the Raiders would be best served by pursuing the next best available free agent, which is now right tackle Daryl Williams.

First and foremost, the Raiders shouldn’t be satisfied with their situation at right tackle. A platoon of Brandon Parker and Jermaine Eluemunor shouldn’t inspire too much confidence. Unless the plan is to kick Alex Leatherwood back to the outside. If that’s the case, Williams wouldn’t make sense and the Raiders’ attention would focus on maybe signing another guard. However, that hasn’t been announced as of yet.

As a result, signing Williams would give the Raiders an instant starter. As the Buffalo Bills’ right tackle, Williams was given a 72.4 pass-blocking grade for his efforts by PFF. Even though Williams would be a stop-gap solution for maybe two years, this affords the Raiders some time to do their due diligence and draft a right tackle in the coming years.
