With rosters mostly set for 2022, the AFC West is set to be a loaded division once again. One position that’s loaded with talent is tight end. This is how it stacks up.

The AFC West is loaded with talent, and at the tight end position, the Raiders, and the rest of the division have some elite players. Here, we take a look at the division as a whole when it comes to the position group, and where the Raiders land going into the summer.

We kick it off with No. 4.

Where do the Raiders rank at TE in the AFC West going into 2022?

In 2021, the Broncos had one of the NFL’s best young tight ends in Noah Fant. A first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, he was a big piece of the trade that allowed Denver to get Russell Wilson from Seattle. With him now gone, the tight end room is bolstered by two youngsters in Albert Okwuegbunam and rookie Greg Dulcich.

In 2021, Okwuegbunam was the clear backup behind Fant. Playing in only 47% of the offensive snaps, he recorded 330 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Drafted in the fourth round out of Missouri, it is likely that he was selected to pair him with college teammate Drew Lock. Unfortunately, he has never really found his footing.

Dulcich, a third-round pick this off-season, made his name as an athletic tight end at UCLA. With 725 yards and five touchdowns last season, it is clear that his potential as a receiver is high.

The Broncos’ tight end position comfortably ranks last in the division. They don’t have the high-end talent of the Chiefs or Raiders and even the Chargers have more established players. However, Denver does possess two young players with the potential to become quality players at the position.
