Raiders: Would Colin Kaepernick be the QB2 in 2022?
The case for Kaepernick
This could be the reason that the polarizing figure Colin Kaepernick was brought in recently for a workout with the Raiders.
Kaepernick is now known more for his work off the field than his play on it. The 34-year-old quarterback was highly successful in his first few seasons with the San Francisco 49ers but has not featured for any team since 2016.
The former University of Nevada quarterback was known more for his ability on the ground than through the air, and this is indeed similar to last season’s backup Marcus Mariota, who departed for the Atlanta Falcons in the offseason.
You would have to be living under a rock if you are not familiar with Kaepernick and his decision to kneel during the National Anthem, which was in protest of police brutality and racial inequality in America. This topic of discussion is what highlights and follows Kaepernick’s life to this very day.
Even more so than his success and failures as an athlete.
