The Las Vegas Raiders should get elite play from Derek Carr this upcoming season, and here is why he could take home the 2022 NFL MVP.

Looking ahead to the 2022 NFL season, there is a lot to be excited about when it comes to the Las Vegas Raiders. They added some elite talent on both sides of the ball, and after a season in 2021 with so many ups and downs on and off the field, it would be good to have a season where the focus remains between the white lines.

In 2022, quarterback Derek Carr will enter his ninth season as the starter and is fresh off leading the franchise to their second playoff appearance in his run with the team. Carr has shattered nearly every Raiders record in terms of passing, but the wins have eluded him, at least consistently.

Now, with the best team around him during his nine-year career, Carr will be looking to take his team, and his career to new heights. In 2016, he was a legitimate MVP threat before getting injured on Christmas Eve, so why not actually take home the award in 2022.

Here, we look at why that could happen.
