Raiders potential surprise cut – Andre James, C

As of today, Las Vegas listed rookie Dylan Parham at guard exclusively. However, it’s only May 26th. Is cutting Andre James a viable possibility? It depends. If the team moves on from the UCLA product, they’d save nearly $2 million against the salary cap.

The only other center currently listed is Hroniss Grasu, but after June 1st, the Raiders could certainly make a move to acquire another, say, J.C. Tretter, for example.

Raiders potential surprise cut – Dillon Stoner, WR

There’s a steep drop-off after the Raiders’ top three wide receivers: Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Demarcus Robinson. Last year, Dillon Stoner was relegated to the special teams unit, where he played for 60 snaps.

With Tyron Johnson and Justin Hall breathing down his neck, it’s likely Stoner won’t crack the 53-man roster. Both Hall and Johnson bring breakaway speed and plenty of upsides, especially Johnson, who’s shown he can be a scoring threat if given a chance.
