Three reasons to get excited about the potential signing of Ndamukong Suh.

Consistency

The 70.5 sacks is a big number, but breaking it down is impressive. In his 12-seasons at the professional level, there’s only been one time in Suh’s career in which he recorded less than 4 sacks. Continuing this consistency, there’s only been four times in his career where Suh has produced less than 5 sacks.

If you were to divide 70 by 12, you’d get 5.8, or 6 if we round up. This is a number Suh has hit 3 times, with 6 of his 12 seasons resulting in 6+ sacks. Of course, Suh is only able to do this because he is consistently healthy, as talked about earlier.

You know what you’re going to get from the former second-overall draft pick: Consistent production and consistent availability. Sprinkle his versatility on top of those two things, and you get a player who the Las Vegas Raiders like enough to target despite their many additions to the defensive tackle unit.
