3 reasons to get excited about the Raiders’ potential signing of Ndamukong Suh

Availability

Availability is one thing. Suh’s availability, though? Currently 1-of-1.

Now entering his 13th NFL season, Suh has finished 12 years in the big league. Throughout those games, Suh has missed a total of two contests, both coming in his second year as a pro. Since 2012 onward, the defensive tackle is on a level only he and he alone is on: Suh is the only defensive player in the NFL to miss a total of zero games from 2012-2022.

This also includes 12 playoff games, where the 6’4 DT appeared in two Super Bowls in a three-year span. Despite being on the losing side of the big game with the Rams to cap off the 2018 season, Suh helped the Buccaneers cap off the ’20 season with a Super Bowl win.

Including those playoff games, teams Suh has been a part of during his NFL career have appeared in 205 contests. Of those 205 games, the free-agent defensive lineman has taken the field 203 times.

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Availability is your best ability”. When it comes to defensive players today, Suh is at the top of the availability pyramid. Now, onto a few other things the former Buccaneer brings to the table for Las Vegas.
