The Las Vegas Raiders will have plenty of money to spend after the June 1 cuts, as they continue to bolster what should be an exciting roster for 2022.

With June 1st here, that means the post-June 1 cap money will be available for the Raiders, and according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, that results in nearly $20 million in cap space coming Las Vegas’s way. After an offseason that saw the Raiders improve their roster in a big way, adding All-Pro talent on both sides of the ball, work still needs to be done as we inch closer and closer to training camp.

Luckily for the Silver and Black, the influx of money means they will have nearly $25 million in total cap space, enough money to bring in a few more top players that are still available. According to Spotrac.com, there are key free agents still on the board, and David Ziegler has proven to be more than willing to get the players he wants in his first offseason as general manager.

Raiders need help on both sides of the ball

As we enter June, the roster is not set by any measure, as there are still issues on defense and up front along the offensive line. For the Raiders to make a legitimate run in the AFC West, they will have to be better in front of Derek Carr, an area that proved to be an issue last season.

Even though the defense was recently ranked one of the most improved by Matt Lombardo, an NFL Insider, issues still remain in the secondary. There are also rumors that the Silver and Black could be all-in on Ndamukong Suh, which would likely result in half of their cap being given to him.

Looking at those players available, there are offensive tackles that can help this team, offensive guards, and defensive backs. Those are the areas the Raiders need to target with the rest of this cap space, but if they can land a player like Suh, and have a pass rush that includes him, Maxx Crosby, and Chandler Jones then they have to make that happen.

Buckle up Raider Nation, we are getting close!
