Could Davante Adams have the best season of any Raiders WR ever?

Who holds that title?

Looking at the best seasons in terms of catching the football in team history, it is actually tight end Darren Waller who has more grabs than any wideout to put on a Raiders uniform. That came back in 2020 when the big fella hauled in 107 passes to pass Tim Brown’s record of 104 set back in 1997.

Last season, we saw Hunter Renfrow come close to Brown’s mark as well, as he grabbed 103 balls in a breakout season for the slot wideout. In Josh Mcdaniels’ offense, slot wide receivers are highly utilized, so the 2022 season could be another dominating one for the fifth-round pick out of Clemson.

However, the best season for a wide receiver in team history came in 1997, when Brown hauled in 104 passes for 1,408 yards and five touchdowns. Both the 104 catches and the 1,408 yards are team records for a wideout, with 1,408 being the most any pass-catcher has racked up in a season.
