LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – SEPTEMBER 19: A Raiders logo is illuminated at the base of the marquee outside Allegiant Stadium, the USD 2 billion, 65,000-seat home of the Las Vegas Raiders, on September 19, 2020, in Las Vegas, Nevada. With June 1st now here, the Raiders have received an extra $20M in available cap space. Are there any free agents left who the team should consider bringing in? Let’s talk about it.

The Las Vegas Raiders have been one of the most active teams around the league during this year’s free agency period. From dishing out contracts to first-year Raiders such as Chandler Jones and Davante Adams to awarding players who were already on the roster with big contract extensions, like Derek Carr and Maxx Crosby, the Silver and Black have been no strangers to spending money.

Luckily for the Raiders, extra cap space has arrived.

When Las Vegas cut Cory Littleton and Carl Nassib, the team designated both moves as post-June 1st cuts. What that means is, that when the Raiders parted ways with the two abovementioned players, they did so knowing there would be no benefit until the 1st of June. Now that the date has finally come, Las Vegas cashes out, gaining a league-high June 1st cap bump of +$19.7M.

With this new increase in cap, Spotrac estimates the Raiders have around $23M available to spend, allowing the team to get back into the free-agent market should the front office want to. Of course, this only raises a new question from Raider Nation: Who are some players the Raiders would benefit from? Let’s talk about three of them.
