Playmakers on Defense

For years, the Raiders franchise has struggled to find playmakers on the defensive side of the ball, that was before the drafting of Maxx Crosby. One of the best young edge rushers in the game, Crosby has wreaked havoc on the league since the Raiders stole him in the 2019 NFL Draft, and now has an elite playmaker with him on defense.

That playmaker is Chandler Jones, a former All-Pro outside linebacker who is going to create a perfect tandem with Crosby coming off the edge. That duo should be able to cause some turnovers on defense, but the additions do not stop there, as Rock Ya-Sin could have the biggest impact of them all in the secondary.

Trayvon Mullen has yet to prove he is a legitimate CB1, and with more talent around him than ever, it is going to be a battle for him to stay in the starting lineup. The addition of Jones and Ya-Sin change everything for this defense and could make them one of the best in the division in 2022.
