5 Las Vegas Raiders that have to improve during the 2022 offseason

Trayvon Mullen

The Las Vegas Raiders have to be elite in the secondary this season if they are to win the AFC West, a division loaded with outstanding quarterbacks. Playing Justin Herbert, Russell Wilson, and Patrick Mahomes six times a year is daunting for any defense, but especially for one that has struggled in the defensive backfield for years.

One player who was supposed to fix a lot of the team’s struggles in the secondary was Trayvon Mullen, who looked so good as a rookie after being a second-round pick back in 2019. Since then, he has battled through injuries, but when he is healthy, he is definitely one of the better cornerbacks the franchise has drafted in quite some time.

Mullen is another 2019 pick that is entering a huge summer, as he is slated to be a starter once again in 2022, but has to show he can be available weekly. If he can stay healthy, he is the CB1 this franchise has been lacking, but with more talent behind him than any other time during his career, the time is now for him to prove that.
